Yumbah’s shellfish aquaculture production systems – on and off-shore – closely mimic the natural systems where abalone, oysters and mussels breed and grow. Water quality is the first consideration for each species’ success, whether in estuaries (oysters), deeper water (mussels), or seawater pumped onshore for abalone and then returned, filtered, to the sea.

- Freezing – and fresh-packing of finished product; shipping from an advanced
central processing facility in Adelaide; deploying renewable energy at industrial scale; using diversity of species and site to manage risk.
